What Wrenbell does
Wrenbell is a web application that a business signs in to. It connects to that business's own WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Cloud API and gives the team a place to build message templates, run campaigns, answer replies and keep their contact list in order.
Five jobs, in one place
1. Connect your account
You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account and phone number to Wrenbell through Meta's onboarding flow. The account, the number and the billing relationship stay with your business.
Until self-serve onboarding is released, our team connects accounts manually with your authorisation.
2. Build and submit templates
Compose a template with a header, body, footer and buttons, place variables where your contact fields should go, and preview it the way WhatsApp will display it. Submit it to Meta from inside Wrenbell.
Approval and rejection come back automatically. Rejection reasons are shown in full, and you can edit and resubmit without starting again. Templates can be maintained in several languages, including Tamil.
3. Send a campaign
Choose an approved template, pick a segment or upload a list, and send now or schedule for later in your own timezone. Before anything goes out, Wrenbell removes contacts who have opted out or whose numbers are invalid, and tells you how many were removed.
Sending is paced to your number's messaging tier, retries transient failures automatically, and can be paused or cancelled while it runs.
4. Answer in a shared inbox
Incoming messages arrive in one inbox covering every number in your workspace. Assign a conversation to a colleague, add an internal note only your team can see, mark it pending or closed, and send or receive images and documents.
The 24-hour customer service window is counted per conversation. When it closes, Wrenbell stops the free-form reply and offers a template instead rather than letting the send fail.
5. See what happened
Every campaign reports sent, delivered, read and failed, with failures grouped by the reason Meta returned. Your number's quality rating and messaging tier are tracked over time, with an alert when either changes.
Reports export to CSV. Nothing is locked in.
Opt-out is a rule, not a setting
The fastest way to lose a WhatsApp number is to message people who did not ask to hear from you. Wrenbell is built so that this is difficult to do by accident.
Recorded with its source
Every opt-out is stored with the time it happened and how it happened — a keyword, an import, or a manual change by your team.
Triggered automatically
Replies containing stop keywords opt a contact out without anyone having to notice. Keywords are configurable and include Tamil equivalents.
Enforced on the server
A send to an opted-out contact is refused by the system itself. Hiding a button is not a control, so we do not rely on one.
We will decline business we cannot send safely. Wrenbell is not for purchased lists, scraped numbers or contacts who never opted in. If that is the campaign, we are the wrong supplier, and we would rather say so at the first meeting.
How your data is kept apart and kept safe
Wrenbell serves many businesses from one system. Keeping one customer's data completely inaccessible to another is the single requirement we treat as non-negotiable.
Isolation
Every record belongs to exactly one workspace, and the database itself enforces that boundary — not just the application code sitting above it. An automated test that tries to read another workspace's data must fail before any change can be released.
Credentials
The access token that connects Wrenbell to your WhatsApp Business Account is encrypted before it is stored, using a key held outside the database. It is decrypted only at the moment a message is sent. It is never written to a log and never returned by any part of the interface.
Access by our staff
Our support team can enter a customer workspace to help. Every time they do, it is written to an audit record with the person, the time and the action. That record is available to you.
Logs and backups
Message contents and phone numbers are not written into routine application logs. The database is backed up daily and backups are retained for 30 days, with restores tested on a schedule.
Where it runs
Wrenbell's primary database is hosted in an Indian region. Meta's own systems, which carry the messages themselves, operate under Meta's terms and infrastructure.
Deletion
You can ask for a full export of your data and for it to be deleted. See the data deletion instructions for exactly what happens and how long it takes.
Wrenbell is messaging software, not a chatbot company
There are useful things software can do without a person: reply to a keyword, send an away message outside business hours, walk someone through an RSVP. Wrenbell will do those, and they will be optional.
What Wrenbell is not is an artificial intelligence product wearing a messaging costume. The customers we are building for want their campaigns to arrive, their inbox to be answered by their own staff, and their numbers to stay healthy. Any assistive feature we add stays switched off until someone deliberately switches it on.
Not open for sign-up yet
Wrenbell is in development. Plans, prices and self-serve sign-up will be published on this site before we begin selling. Until then we are working with a small number of businesses directly.
